The most distant way in the world
The most distant way in the world
is not the way from birth to the end.
it is when i sit near you
that you don"t understand i love u.
The most distant way in the world
is not that you"re not sure i love u.
It is when my love is bewildering the soul
but i can"t speak it out.
The most distant way in the world
is not that i can"t say i love u.
it is after looking into my heart
i can"t change my love.
The most distant way in the world
is not that i"m loving u.
it is in our love
we are keeping between the distance.
We Were Dear to Each Other
By Rabindranath Tagore
Stray birds of summer come to my window to sing and fly away.
And yellow leaves of autumn,which have no songs,flutter and fall there with a sign.
O Troupe of little vagrants of the world,leave your footprints in my words.
The world puts off its mask of vastness to its lover.
It becomes small as one song,as one kiss of the eternal.
It is the tears of the earth that keep her smiles in bloom.
The mighty desert is burning for the love of a blade of grass who shakes her head and laughs and flies away.
If you shed tears when you miss the sun,you also miss the stars.
The sands in your way beg for your song and your movement,dancing water,Will you carry the burden of their lameless?
Her wishful face haunts my dreams like the rain at night.
Once we dreamt that we were strangers.
We wake up to find that we were dear to each other.
Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822)
I
1 O wild West Wind, thou breath of Autumn"s being,
2 Thou, from whose unseen presence the leaves dead
3 Are driven, like ghosts from an enchanter fleeing,
4 Yellow, and black, and pale, and hectic red,
5 Pestilence-stricken multitudes: O thou,
6 Who chariotest to their dark wintry bed
7 The winged seeds, where they lie cold and low,
8 Each like a corpse within its grave, until
9 Thine azure sister of the Spring shall blow
10 Her clarion o"er the dreaming earth, and fill
11 (Driving sweet buds like flocks to feed in air)
12 With living hues and odours plain and hill:
13 Wild Spirit, which art moving everywhere;
14 Destroyer and preserver; hear, oh hear!
II
15 Thou on whose stream, mid the steep sky"s commotion,
16 Loose clouds like earth"s decaying leaves are shed,
17 Shook from the tangled boughs of Heaven and Ocean,
18 Angels of rain and lightning: there are spread
19 On the blue surface of thine a{:e}ry surge,
20 Like the bright hair uplifted from the head
21 Of some fierce Maenad, even from the dim verge
22 Of the horizon to the zenith"s height,
23 The locks of the approaching storm. Thou dirge
24 Of the dying year, to which this closing night
25 Will be the dome of a vast sepulchre,
26 Vaulted with all thy congregated might
27 Of vapours, from whose solid atmosphere
28 Black rain, and fire, and hail will burst: oh hear!
III
29 Thou who didst waken from his summer dreams
30 The blue Mediterranean, where he lay,
31 Lull"d by the coil of his cryst{`a}lline streams,
32 Beside a pumice isle in Baiae"s bay,
33 And saw in sleep old palaces and towers
34 Quivering within the wave"s intenser day,
35 All overgrown with azure moss and flowers
36 So sweet, the sense faints picturing them! Thou
37 For whose path the Atlantic"s level powers
38 Cleave themselves into chasms, while far below
39 The sea-blooms and the oozy woods which wear
40 The sapless foliage of the ocean, know
41 Thy voice, and suddenly grow gray with fear,
42 And tremble and despoil themselves: oh hear!
IV
43 If I were a dead leaf thou mightest bear;
44 If I were a swift cloud to fly with thee;
45 A wave to pant beneath thy power, and share
46 The impulse of thy strength, only less free
47 Than thou, O uncontrollable! If even
48 I were as in my boyhood, and could be
49 The comrade of thy wanderings over Heaven,
50 As then, when to outstrip thy skiey speed
51 Scarce seem"d a vision; I would ne"er have striven
52 As thus with thee in prayer in my sore need.
53 Oh, lift me as a wave, a leaf, a cloud!
54 I fall upon the thorns of life! I bleed!
55 A heavy weight of hours has chain"d and bow"d
56 One too like thee: tameless, and swift, and proud.
V
57 Make me thy lyre, even as the forest is:
58 What if my leaves are falling like its own!
59 The tumult of thy mighty harmonies
60 Will take from both a deep, autumnal tone,
61 Sweet though in sadness. Be thou, Spirit fierce,
62 My spirit! Be thou me, impetuous one!
63 Drive my dead thoughts over the universe
64 Like wither"d leaves to quicken a new birth!
65 And, by the incantation of this verse,
66 Scatter, as from an unextinguish"d hearth
67 Ashes and sparks, my words among mankind!
68 Be through my lips to unawaken"d earth
69 The trumpet of a prophecy! O Wind,
70 If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?

不羁的精灵呵,你无处不远行;
里面正有你的万钧之力的凝结;
虽然枝叶扶疏,却没有精力;

When You Are Old

     When you are old and grey and full of sleep
     And nodding by the fire,take down this book
     And slowly read,and dream of the soft look
     Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

     How many loved your moments of glad grace,
     And loved your beauty with love false or true,
     But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
     And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

     And bending down beside the glowing bars,
     Murmur,a little sadly,how love fled
     And paced upon the mountains overhead
     And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

  (BY William Butler Yeats)
当你老了,头发花白,睡思昏沉;
爱你的美丽,假意或真心;

    当你老了,头白了,睡意昏沉,
    炉火旁打盹,请取下这部诗歌,
    慢慢读,回想你过去眼神的柔和,
    回想它们昔日浓重的阴影;

    多少人爱你青春欢畅的时辰,
    爱慕你的美丽,假意或真心,
    只有一个人爱你那朝圣者的灵魂,
    爱你衰老了的脸上痛苦的皱纹;

    垂下头来,在红光闪耀的炉子旁,
    凄然地轻轻诉说那爱情的消逝,
    在头顶的山上它缓缓踱着步子,
    在一群星星中间隐藏着脸庞

ALWAYS HAVE A DREAM
Forget about the days when it"s been cloudy.
But don"t forget your hours in the sun.
Forget about the times you have been defeated.
But don"t forget the victories you have won.
Forget about the misfortunes you have encountered.
But don"t forget the times your luck has turned.
Forget about the days when you have been lonely.
But don"t forget the friendly smiles you have seen.
Forget about the plans that didn"t seem to work out right.
But don"t forget to always have a dream.
I"M DREAMING OF THE WHITE CHRISTMAS
I"m dreaming of the white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know.
The tree tops glisten and children
Listen to hear sleigh-bells in the snow.
I"m dreaming of the white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write.
May your days be merry and bright,
And may all your Christmases be white.
(An American Folk Song)
Shall I compare thee to a summer"s day?
Shakespear
Shall I compare thee to a summer"s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer"s lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm"d;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature"s changing course untrimm"d;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow"st;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander"st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow"st:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
你不独比他可爱也比他温婉;
夏天出赁的期限又未免太短;
他那炳耀的金颜又常遭掩蔽;
也不会损失你这皎洁的红芳;
THE WIND风
(Part I)
Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you; 谁也没见过,不论你或我;
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.
(Part II)
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I; 谁也没见过,不论你或我;
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.

In May, 五月里,
Sing all day, 整天吟唱多逍遥,

Dreams
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That can never fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go 梦想若是消丧
Life is a barren field
Frozen only with snow
I Loved You Alexander Pushkin
I loved you; and perhaps I love you still,
The flame, perhaps, is not extinguished; yet
It burns so quietly within my soul,
No longer should you feel distressed by it.
Silently and hopelessly I loved you,
At times too jealous and at times too shy.
God grant you find another who will love you
As tenderly and truthfully as I
也许在我的心灵里还没有完全消亡;
但愿它不会再打扰你;
又忍受着嫉妒的折磨;

Never Cry?
In a fatal accident
So much pain in the body,
Really wanted to die,
But never wanted to cry
In the dealing with things in life
So much agony to bear
Sometimes wanted to suicide
But never wanted to cry
So why?
On the lonely cold nite,
Without my silly girl beside
So much bitter happiness
Just made me want to cry
Facing mom’s concerning eyes
Ashamed to tell a lie
So only in the dreams
Could I cry
THANK YOU
Tomorrow is an important day for me
Hand in hand we walked along the sea
A wonderful memory always recalls me
No other things could replaced except it
Kindness is your regular way for people
Yes, I often get your favor in no preparation
Of the friends around me
U are really the one I should give most thanks.

Snow flows over a quiet village;
Doves fly across a gloomy sky.
Two names are carved deep on a birch;
They promised to stay in love all their life.
One day war broke out in their homeland.
The lad picked up a gun to go to the front.
“Don"t worry for me,sweetheart.”
“Wait for me in the birch wood.”he said.
Doves are still flying across the same gloomy sky.
Who would prove those graveless love and lives?
Snow kept falling over the village,quiet as ever.
And the young hid themselves behind the birch wood.
The bad news came at the other afternoon.
Her love laid down his life on the battlefield.
Quietly she came to the birch wood,
waiting there each day on tiptoe.
She said he"d just lost his way in the land far away.
Surely he would come to the birch wood someday.
Doves are still flying across the same gloomy sky
Who would prove those graveless love and lives?
Snow kept falling over the village,quiet as ever.
And the young hid themselves behind the birch wood.
The long road is coming to its close.
Snow-white hair flew over the once young face.
She often heard his whisper over her pillow,
“Come,sweetheart,come to the birch wood”
Over her deathbed she murmured,
“I am coming,wait for me in the birch wood.”

I Am Not Yours
I am not yours, not lost in you
Not lost,although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon
Lost as a snowflake in the sea
You love me,and I find you still
A spirit beatiful and bright
Yet I am I ,who long to be
Lost as a light in light
Oh,plunge me deep in love-put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind
Swept by the tempest of your love
I Shall Not Care
  当我死了,明媚的四月 when I am dead and over me bright April
  即使你心碎地扑倒在我身上 though you should lean above me broken-hearted
I shall not care
I shall have peace as leaf trees are peaceful
  当雨水把树枝压弯压低 when rain bends down the bough
  我将比你现在 and I shall be more silent and cold-hearted
  更加沉默,更加冷淡 than you are now

the good ,green earth beneath our feet,
the air breath,the food we eat,
some work to do,a good to win ,
ahidden longing deep within,
that spurs us on the bigger things
and helps us meet what each day brings,
all these things and many more
are things we should be thankful for.

题目:spring goeth all in white
内容:spring goeth all in white,
crowned with milk-white may;
in fleecy flocks of light,
over heaven the white clouds stray;
white butterflies in the air;
white daisies prank the ground;
the cherry and hoary pear,
scatter their snow around.
